My little boy has a speech delay and carry's out mild stimming. We have been very concerned and although the Speech and Language therapist has been excellent the Pediatric support has been lacking. I contacted Dr Deepshikha Thakur as her expertise seemed second to none. I sent her lots of information from the SALT and playgroup reports before we held a video consultation. She had clearly summarised my little boys needs and with the extra information we gave her and the evidence from the consultation she compiled an excellent report. I have used this report and it has already started things moving. We have been contacted by the development school and also offered further consultation through the NHS. I can't recommend her enough

Dr 0Thakur saw us with our daughter and diagnosed her with ASD. The time between contacting her and getting the diagnosis was less than 4 months, which was great. All communication was very swift and emails replied to so quickly. All steps of the process were made easy for us. In the actual assessment Dr Thakur was great with us and our daughter, we felt very comfortable with her. She explained everything thoroughly and listened to us. We had her full and very detailed report in less than 8 weeks. We would recommend her services to anyone who wants fast yet thorough help.

During the pandemic period it was very difficult to access NHS community paediatrician to address our concerns regarding our son’s development. He was having difficulties in communications, social interaction, and sensory issues and showed some signs of ASD. We went far and beyond to find someone or a practice that specialises in ASD assessment until we came across Autism Doctors. Dr Thakur, who is a paediatric consultant with many years of experience and a range of qualification supporting her role with Autism and with the initial conversation prior to consultation appointments, she was very knowledgeable in her area of expertise and this has given us confidence that we have found the right person. During the consultation process (online & face to face), she listened to our concerns, our family background, education settings, etc, She was asking the right questions you can tell she knows what she is doing, and one thing I did find was that she was very child focused and really cared about my son’s health and wellbeing and that was really important for us. Dr Thakur carried out an in-depth assessment and her diagnosis and report was very thorough and detailing needs, strategies, and recommendations to support my son’s development. This has given us some guidance and understanding how we can support my son’s development ready to move forward in the real world. We would not hesitate to recommend Dr Thakur, she has been really supportive and understanding all the way through from the very first time we spoke to her and right to the end. There is no doubt in my mind that we would definitely use her services again and we would highly recommend to other families that are looking for support for themselves or members of their families.

I contacted Dr Thakur as I wanted to get my daughter assessed for Autism. She was really knowledgeable, and reassured me that she would be able to carry out an in depth assessment on my daughter. She was always very quick to respond to any questions I had and to carry out the assessment. I also had a speech and language therapist involved on her recommendation. She was very friendly and instantly put my daughter at ease. The report that I received at the end was very in depth and gave me the information I needed to be able to contact my daughters school in order to start applying to get her the help she needs. I would definitely recommend Dr Thakur.

We contacted Dr Thakur at a time where we were struggling to access any NHS services to address concerns regarding our son's development, due to wait times or referrals being turned down. We knew he was having difficulties, but it was difficult to get that recognised by others and we were unsure where to go next. We were seen in a timely fashion, and had a thorough telephone consultation and face to face appointment. Dr Thakur listened carefully to our concerns and history, alongside doing her own thorough assessment of our son. She was very child centred, and you can tell she does the job because she cares about the outcomes for our children. Within the session, she was able to build up a rapport with our son, and put him at ease, despite it being a new place/person and having to wear a mask. The diagnosis validated what we knew about him as Parents, but had struggled for so long to get those around him to understand. The diagnosis and thorough report, detailing his needs and strategies to support him, will ensure his needs are better met and that he is more understood as a person. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Thakur and her service to other families. It was a really positive process, which will help us to move forwards. Thank you
